I got a request from hear-me-rory like 5 ever ago to draw a "pretty blonde deer man trying to woo a sulky reaper” and forgot to post the sketch so since I felt bad I decided to quickly paint it and make it look nicer but it’s still p shitty
what’s even worse is I GOOFED and made him brunette when he should have been blondeOH WELL I hope they like it all the same if they seedare you to write a fic

Happy: Resemblance to original conception. Palette control - I spent a lot more time (i.e. t > 0) testing color mixes than I normally do. The original plan was to go back to basics & do a three-color RBY palette - it ended up at four, since I mixed two yellows, and then I ended up lobbing in watercolor pencil and gouache, too…
Not happy: I wanted this to have a slightly flat look, true, but looking at it now I’m not convinced it isn’t too flat and static.
Onward and upward!!
